VAN NUYS, CA – – The Valley Industry and Commerce Association’s (VICA) 23rd Annual Business Forecast Conference, Oct. 28, will examine solutions for improving the California economy and address the region’s most pressing public policy issues. This year’s conference is being presented in partnership with The Valley Economic Alliance. “California’s economic recovery is lagging behind the rest of the nation.
Though we face significant challenges, we know that our state has the potential to live up to its Golden State nickname,” said VICA Chair Daymond Rice. “This year’s conference will look at some of the public policy areas that are crucial to our economic revitalization.” The VICA Business Forecast Conference helps business leaders prepare for the economic opportunities in the upcoming year and thoughtfully scrutinizes the public policy issues impacting the business community. This year’s theme is: The Big Economy That Should. An economic forecast breakfast will kick-off the day, followed by insightful panels addressing: e-commerce, tourism, real estate, banking and finance, transportation, the viability of green jobs, unemployment and businesses leaving the State of California.
The event will conclude with a luncheon keynote. The conference (presented by Wells Fargo and Woodbury University) will be held 7:15 a.m.-2 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 28 at the Universal Hilton Hotel, 555 Universal Hollywood Dr., Universal City. “We have an impressive line-up of speakers confirmed for this year’s Business Forecast Conference,” said VICA President Stuart Waldman. “These individuals are experts in their respective fields and are expected to spark many insightful and thoughtful dialogues throughout the day.” Cost for the conference is $175 for VICA members and $200 for non-members.
