Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Central Area are announcing the arrest of the suspect responsible for beating a street vendor.

On June 15, 2026, around 4:15 p.m., LAPD Central Area officers responded to the 700 block of South Figueroa Street for a battery investigation. The incident involved a dispute between a street vendor selling hot dogs and a pedestrian.

LAPD Central Area Detectives were able to identify the suspect responsible and on June 25, 2026, took 19-year-old Harmunie Heaven Church into custody near downtown Los Angeles. Church was booked for 243 (d) PC – Felony Battery with Great Bodily Injury. Her booking number is 7266251. She’s being held on $50,000 bail.

This case will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for felony filing consideration.
