The 165 km Nairobi-Nakuru road gives the visitors an unrivalled view of the majestic Great Rift Valley, winding through a series of lakes and forested uplands and all the way to the bustling market town of Nakuru. The views are equally impressive for the visitors who use a charter aircraft for the 25 minutes flight to the Lake Nakuru National Park airstrip situated at the southern side of the park at the Rhino Sanctuary headquarters-Naishi.

On the outskirts of Nakuru lies a truly remarkable national park which has achieved international fame as an animal sanctuary. Both Black and White Rhinos are being given a new lease of live in this 188 sq. km fully electrically fenced park and they are carefully protected. The present rhino population is fifty three and they continue to multiply.

The Rothschilds Giraffe is another unique and the park has its fair share of buffalo, leopard, wild dog, zebra, eland, water buck and the territorial lion.

Situated in the south eastern ecological niche of the park is the Lake Nakuru Lodge, an oasis of comfort and excellent services with commanding views of the lesser Flamingo interspersed with the Greater Flamingo for which Lake Nakuru is justly famous. It is another world for the visitors, where one easily forgets the hustle and bustle of the city. The lodge blends in well with the surroundings and the animals often browse peacefully close to the lodge and environs, much to the fascination of the visitors.

There is accommodation for 120 people, either in family rooms, cottages or suites. The service is unmatched anywhere in Kenya, a country renowned for hospitality. Above all, the staff are friendly and competent. There is excellent cuisine which includes outside catering, Bush barbecues, African nights and sun downers.

After a day’s game watching, the spacious logged Mama Nikki bar, the cool upstairs Rhino Paddock cocktail bar overlooking the lake and guest enticing blue swimming pool can be particularly inviting. Evening entertainment and slide shows for guests and interesting and varied. In the park, sites read a Walt Disney Fantasy. The Baboon Cliff Lookout sits next to Honeymoon Hill.

The Acacia and Euphorbia Forest are havens for the animals during the heat of the day. Cormorant corner is aptly named as is pelican point. The Hippo pool at the Baharini springs is a favourite spot for picnics. In the centre of the park, never far from view, sits the glittering 40 sq. km. lake with its large population of lesser and Greater Flamingos and pelicans which, on their own right, attract visitors from all over the world.

Lake Nakuru Lodge offers the sort of relaxation you have never experienced before and the surroundings are a sight too good to be missed.
