VAN NUYS, CA — Sky Zone, an indoor trampoline park that opened its newest location at 7741 Hayvenhurst Avenue in Van Nuys this summer, is hosting a Peace. Love. Swap. charity event on Friday, November 8, 2013, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Peace. Love. Swap is an initiative to keep baby, children and maternity items out of landfills and donate to local charities by providing communities with a place to meet, play and swap their gently used items. Accepted items include clothes, toys, books, games and gear suitable for 0 to 14 year olds that your children have outgrown, as well as maternity items.
Swap admission, which covers one paid swapper plus one person to watch your children, is $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Drop-off times for your stuff to swap are from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A raffle begins at 11:45 am, and the swap starts at 12:00 noon. There will also be a vendor fair with family friendly items to purchase. Proceeds will be donated to help out local charities in the Valley. To purchase tickets for the swap, shop and play event, please go to www.facebook.com/peace.love.swap.sfv. The first 25 people to register and prepay online will receive free swapbags. Sky Zone Van Nuys is also offering a discount to play at their indoor trampoline park at a cost of $8 per hour of play in advance or $9 per hour of play at the door.
The event is designed to provide local parents with a place to meet and mingle with while they swap and shop. Additional benefits are reducing waste and saving money. Meanwhile the children are exercising and having fun while simultaneously being watched over by someone.
