VAN NUYS, CA — This coming Wednesday night, the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council will consider a proposal to allow police reports to be filed online. The exact language is as follows:
“The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council to submit a Community Impact Statement (CIS) to the LA City Council and LA City Hall calling for online police reports for non-violent or minor crimes (Harassing Phone Calls, Identity Theft, Lost Property, Stolen Bicycle, Theft, Theft From Vehicle, Vandalism) that take place in Los Angeles. This would free up needed resources so the department can focus on fighting crime and the more pressing issues facing our community.” (www.vnnc.org)
