Los Angeles Rams

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Rams will kick off the 2016 preseason with two home games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, including a nationally-televised home opener vs. the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 13. The Rams will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 before traveling to Denver and Minnesota in Weeks 3 and 4, respectively.  Specific dates and times for the four preseason games will be announced at a later date.

“We are excited to open the preseason on a national stage here in Los Angeles,” Rams Head Coach JEFF FISHER said. “This is a historic year and we can’t wait to get in front of the fans for the first time at the Coliseum.”

ESPN will broadcast the Rams’ opener against the Cowboys. Their Week 1 meeting will mark the first time the teams have played one another in the preseason since 2012. The Rams last hosted Dallas in California in 1983 in Anaheim.

In Week 2, the Rams will host a familiar opponent in the Kansas City Chiefs. The Rams are 14-9 against the Chiefs in the preseason with the last matchup coming in 2015 in Kansas City.

Los Angeles will travel to Denver in Week 3 to face the defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium. The teams last met in the 2013 preseason in Denver.

The 2016 preseason slate will conclude in Minnesota, where the Rams will play in the Vikings’ newly constructed U.S. Bank Stadium for the first time. Minnesota currently holds a 6-5 advantage over the Rams in the preseason.
