Sometimes going on vacation and knowing exactly what you are going to get makes the holiday begin before you even hit the road. Staying at a fine establishment like the Holiday Inn Express and Suites brings contentment, familiarity, and ease to planning and executing a fine holiday weekend.

HolidayInnExpressMy tribe and I love staying there because of the attentive nature of the staff, the clean and spacious rooms, and the work ethic and corporate atmosphere that exudes professionalism in the hospitality industry. For us, having a home base to explore Modesto was key as we planned a long list of activities for the family. The location of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Modesto is perfect for exploring the world capital of almond production as well as the artwork and history of Modesto. There were many highlights to our weekend stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, but the best for me being a family man was the included breakfast.

I found having the breakfast included in the room price to be the peak and pillar moment of my happiness this weekend. (That and actually eating breakfast before going out and painting the town red).  Having access to oatmeal, cereal, omelets, fresh fruit, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, coffee and juice made the beginning of my day a ravaging success.  Prior to dragging the children out to do activities and make them more cultured, I try and feed them first so they don’t wine and complain as much.  And thanks to the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Modesto, I was able to fulfill my fatherly duties like it was a military mission, and all of this increased my joy and happiness while on vacation.   It doesn’t seem like much, but having access to breakfast with two little kids can make all the difference in the world.  In fact, besides the clean and spacious suites and wonderfully attentive staff I would say the breakfast included in the room price is just another great reason to stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Modesto.

From looking at murals to photographing scenic almond trees blossoming, to actually spending good quality time with the largest and oldest Walnut tree in all of California, being based at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Modesto was the key to our weekend of fun. The mental ease of booking a hotel where you know exactly what you are going to get is beneficial to the psyche. These mid-range establishments like the Holiday Inn are perfect for small families and those who happen to be traveling on business. Additionally, having a home base like the Holiday Inn in Modesto makes for an enjoyable and wonderful vacation weekend. Besides the breakfasts that I am so fond of, I found the gym and the workout room to be quite sufficient for my exercise needs. After running around the hotel parking lot and down to and almond tree field and back I got a nice arm workout in as well.  Additionally, I finished up my leg exercises and run with the treadmill on incline.  Having access to gym equipment is an added bonus after a long drive, and this release of tension can be absolutely critical to having an enjoyably fine weekend out of town. Everything about our stay at the Holiday Inn was wonderful and I highly recommend spending a few nights relaxing and recharging at the Holiday Inn in Modesto. For my family, our weekend in Modesto was a great time and the kids did not want to leave. Our very spacious two room suite on the third floor fit our needs perfectly, and the kids absolutely loved it.  American Graffiti nostalgia, almond blossoms, the biggest walnut tree in California, Modesto is where it’s at.
