Van Nuys News, Feed The Homeless

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — The San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission will launch the season of giving by hosting its Thanksgiving Feast on Tuesday, November 26 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Church On The Way, located at 14300 Sherman Way in Van Nuys. The event will feature a full Thanksgiving dinner, live entertainment and special family activities.
As it has for the last 12 years, this event will provide Thanksgiving meals to more than 500 people in need from across the San Fernando Valley. Over 200 volunteers and several sponsors will come together to cook, serve and socialize with guests.
“This is a unique opportunity to provide a warm, nutritious meal for our neighbors. We feel blessed to have the resources to provide meals to the needy in our community,” said Wade Trimmer, director of the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission. “We would like to thank all of our volunteers and donors who make this great event possible.”
