USC 5k Run, Run a 5k in Van Nuys, USC

VAN NUYS, CA — It can produce excruciating, unrelenting and debilitating pain, for which at this time there is no cure, no standardized treatment, not even a standardized method for diagnosis.  Welcome to the world of Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (aka Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome). RSD/CRPS is a degenerative disease of the sympathetic nervous system, a neurological chronic pain disorder – one of the least-known, often misdiagnosed, and most misunderstood of all diseases.  Caused by a malfunction within the nervous system, the McGill Pain Index ranks RSD as the most complex, agonizing experience a body can go through.
