Question

I am traveling out of the country very soon, like in about a week, and I have lost my passport. What can I do? If I don’t have my passport, I will not be able to go on my trip. Please help me Government George. –Patty, Canoga

Answer

Well Patty, this gets to be a bit tricky. Because you are so close to leaving the country, just ordering a new passport will take too long. My suggestion is to call your Congressional Representative, and get your Member of Congress to act on your behalf. As soon as you sign a release, they will be able to get you your passport ASAP. What I would do is find out where the congressional office is, and physically go into the district office to get this straightened out. Like I said, after you sign the release letting them act on your behalf, they can start getting to work quite quickly. Check out www.house.gov to locate your Member of Congress and find out where their office is located.
