Saturday, September 24th. Nearly 500 community leaders and political figures gathered for the dinner and awards presentation honoring strong supporters in the business and banking worlds. VEDC paid tribute to: Wells Fargo Bank with the Investing in the Future Award, Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses initiative received the Entrepreneurial Vision Award, Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard was the recipient of the Hero Award and JPMorgan Chase was honored with the Bank Partner Award.

Clients of VEDC were also recognized and awarded based on their dedication, commitment to excellence and their creation of jobs through business growth. The honorees were Oscar Sandoval, owner of Sand Building Materials, Inc. and Cindy Chen, owner of Saveway Supplies, Inc. Over the past 35 years, VEDC has served over 95,000 small businesses, helped to open more than 1,600 new businesses and provided nearly $314,000,000 in direct and guaranteed lending. That is certainly worth celebrating! VEDC is the largest non-profit small business lender in metro Los Angeles and offers direct micro and small business loans as well as SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 loans.
