VAN NUYS, CA – The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council held a special session this evening, and elected a new Treasurer.  Councilwoman Jeanette Hopp won the election with a unanimous vote and has already started tackling the financial issues facing the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council.

“I look forward to working with our new Treasurer, and will support her in every way I can to address the fiscal concerns facing our community.  I commend Mrs. Hopp on already taking the treasurers training, and being able to hit the ground running.  Thank you for stepping up and serving Van Nuys, cheers to you Madam Treasurer,” said George Christopher Thomas, President of the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council.

The Van Nuys Neighborhood Council meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm.  The General Session Meetings are held at 6262 Van Nuys Blvd. in the Marvin Braude Building.  The meetings are open to the general public, and participation in our local government is encouraged by all the members of the VNNC.  (For more information, please visit www.vnnc.org)
