Los Angeles, CA — Detectives are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the lives of three sisters from Los Angeles and injured three others. On February 3, 2012, at around 2:45 a.m., a 2004 Infiniti FX35 was travelling east on Florence Avenue from Dalton Avenue with six occupants. The driver was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of the car, running off the roadway and colliding with a tree. Only one of the occupants was wearing a seatbelt. The driver and four passengers were ejected onto the roadway. All six occupants were transported to a local hospital with serious to critical injuries.
Three sisters, 28-year-old Tyesha Germine Turner, 21-year-old Enisha Marie Davis and 19-year-old Jesjai Chanae Jones died at the hospital from the injuries. Two other passengers, a 26-year-old female from Inglewood and a 32-year-old female from Los Angeles were treated for their injuries and later released. The driver, a 29-year-old woman from Moreno Valley, is still hospitalized in critical condition, but may be facing criminal charges when her condition improves. Detectives are also waiting for completion of toxicology reports to determine what charges may be brought against the driver.
