VAN NUYS, CA — There will be free live entertainment at the Van Nuys Courthouse in the courtyard Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Janet Stegman will be singing and dancing at the open air market where people can buy food, clothing, jewelry and other things. Stegman sings a variety of music — Broadway show tunes, jazz standards and other fun songs like Return to Pooh Corner (Kenny Loggins) and Somewhere Out There (An American Tail), and if the audience begs her, she will dance to some upbeat swing music and, believe it or not, do an Irish jig. The people who attended the fair last Thursday seemed to have a ball – Stegman even got compliments from the security staff inside the courthouse that she brought a fun energy to the courthouse. People are welcome to sit on the short wall there or on the grass or can bring a chair, and have some wonderful food, shop, and enjoy the live entertainment. Stegman was last seen on Country Music Television’s Your Chance to Dance, in HBO Here I Come! at Masquers Cabaret and Dinner Theater in Hollywood, and as Peter Pan in the Stepping Stone Players’ production of Peter Pan in Glendale.
