For the past semester, students have worked with the American Cancer Society learning about cancer patients, survivors and also about the loved ones of those who have passed.  Students have held raffles, school events and outreached to their own communities, fundraising for the cause.

Next weekend, it will be a camp-like atmosphere on the Birmingham High School track grounds (located at: 6435 Balboa Blvd. Van Nuys, CA 91406) as hundreds of students walk the track for 24 hours straight.  They will be supervised by ASAS-LA staff and chaperones.
