When we arrived at LAX, instead of being stressed out from traffic and parking and terminals, we were dropped off by the Flyaway bus service at the British Airlines Tom Bradley International Termainal and were ready to go. After a 10 hour direct flight with British Airways we arrived in London used the excellent public transport service to get to Central London. London is easily navigated by using the Tube (underground train system) – ask for advice before buying tickets, you can save a lot of money buying a weekly or daily pass. A visit to the Tower of London, founded in 1078 by William the Conqueror is essential.

Children will enjoy the gruesome historical artifacts on offer, including head-chopping blocks and axes (visually used), hundreds of genuine suits of armor, and lots of torture equipment. See where Anne Boleyn was beheaded in 1536 for treason against King Henry VIII – some have is seen her walking around the tower carrying her head under her arm. The Tower of London is also home to the Crown Jewels, a display of the ancient and modern riches of the Royal Family. Get started planning a trip to London – visit www.britishairways.com.
