Inspired by the rich decorative arts of Spain, Portugal, Italy and Morocco, Mizner’s exotic style is evoked throughout The Grand Del Mar, with its colorful palette, graceful arched doorways, rotundas, vibrant tile, wood beamed ceilings, ornate stone and wrought iron accents, decorative columns, parquet flooring and gracious verandas.
Mizner viewed architecture as a seamless integration of buildings, décor and landscaping and this emphasis on melding the indoors and outdoors is a hallmark of The Grand Del
Mar. In this spirit, the interiors and architecture are complemented by lush landscaping a verdant mix of tropical and indigenous plantings, punctuated by garden fountains, generous patios and courtyards, flowered terraces and meandering walkways.
