VAN NUYS, CA — The Mid-Valley Community Police Council (MVCPC) will celebrate and recognize the “Officers of the Quarter” on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:30 a.m. The celebration will be held at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, Jean & David Fleming Building, 15107 Vanowen Street, Van Nuys, CA 91405. LAPD Command Staff and Supervisors have nominated and voted for those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. The awards will include:

— Police Officer of the Quarter – Katy Paschal
— Detective of the Quarter – Maria Mendoza
— Supervisor of the Quarter – Brian Whetsel
— Civilian Employee of the Quarter – Jocelyn Mendoza
— Reserve Officer/Volunteer of the Quarter – Shadi Rezaei

About Mid-Valley Community Police Council: Since 1978, the Mid-Valley Community Police Council has supported the Los Angeles Police Department – Van Nuys Area by raising money for supplemental training, specialized equipment, state-of-the-art technology, LAPD youth programs, and station improvements.
