MALIBU, CA — The always sold out and highly scenic Malibu Half Marathon is still being run in November 2020 as planned.  Race Director Erica Segal spoke about the behind the scenes effects of Covid-19 on hosting public events, it’s impact on our region as a whole, and the running community.

MalibuHalfMarathon“First and foremost I want to share my deepest sympathies with everyone impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak as we navigate through these difficult times. Our priority as a race is always the health and well-being of the global running community.  We have been carefully monitoring developments related to coronavirus (COVID-19) and based on the information available to us today, we are continuing our preparations for the event,” said Race Director Erica Segal.

MalibuMarathon“It is our commitment to keep all participants informed.  We will continue to provide updates as we get closer to the race. Fortunately, we don’t have to face all of this alone. We can still be a community and support each other! In fact, now more than ever, the lesson remains the same: We Are #StrongerTogether. Join me and the #RunMalibu Virtual Community to connect, share, inspire and be inspired by like-minded individuals and, gain access to exclusive rewards.  You can Join Our Exclusive Facebook Group & Join Our Strava Club,” said Race Director Erica Segal.
