Based in prime areas of London, including Knightsbridge, Kensington, Sloane Square and the City, the properties offer both long and short stays. The spacious apartments include top-of-the-range, fully equipped kitchens featuring fine china, crockery, cutlery, dishwashers and washing machines.
They also offer the ultimate in comfort and convenience with sophisticated security systems, satellite televisions, direct dial telephones, a 24- hour concierge service and daily maid service. Three of the properties: Cheval Knightsbridge, Cheval Phoenix House off Sloane Square, and Cheval Calico House in the City, offer a minimum stay of one week. Located opposite Harrods and close to Harvey Nichols, Cheval Knightsbridge features a selection of modern two and three-bedroom apartments, mews houses and three-bedroom townhouse properties, making them perfect for families and friends wishing to travel together. Cheval Knightsbridge is currently undergoing a major refurbishment of its 11-17 Cheval Place property. This includes eight two-bedroom apartments, plus the building of two brand new two-bedroom penthouse suites. Leading designer, Helen Ellery, is incorporating her quirky style to make Cheval Knightsbridge one of the most stylist places to stay in central London.
The project is due to be finished in April 2012, just in time for the London 2012 Olympics. The apartments on Cheval Place were opened in 1982, and became the origin of the company name. Cheval Phoenix House is a popular choice with the fashion set, being situated just off Sloane Street, home to some of the most famous names in design, such as Chloé, Gucci and Prada. The modern interior is designed by Fox Linton, the designers of One Aldwych Hotel, and focuses on classic clean simple lines. Samsung LED HD-ready televisions with Blu-ray DVD players, Vita R4 DAB Audio iPod integrated music systems, and wireless broadband
internet connections are available in every apartment. Luxurious goose down duvets, Frette satin/cotton sheets, Aveda toiletries and organic welcome hampers all come as standard.
Cheval Phoenix House’s restaurant, Le Cercle, is operated by Pascal Aussignac and Vincent Labeyrie of Club Gascon. In a quiet courtyard just off cobbled Bow Lane, with its superb choice of boutiques and restaurants, Cheval Calico House is the perfect base from which to explore many of London’s tourist attractions such as St Paul’s Cathedral and Tate Modern. Its setting in the heart of the City also makes it an excellent location for those on business. Cheval Calico House offers a selection of one and two bedroom apartments, including two luxurious two-bedroom penthouses, which overlook St Paul’s Cathedral. Cheval Calico House is in close proximity to many of London’s best food markets, as well as the One New Change shopping centre. The property is currently undergoing an extensive phased refurbishment, with the project being finalised in 2012.
The interior design is by Forme Design and will incorporate four different colour schemes. For longer visits, Cheval Hyde Park Gate offers a minimum of 90-day stays, while Cheval Gloucester Park is available for stays of 28 days or more, and Cheval Thorney Court offers a minimum of three weeks. Built in 1864, Cheval Hyde Park Gate offers the British Capital’s most prestigious serviced accommodation. The property consists of three imposing Victorian houses overlooking Kensington Gardens, minutes from The Royal Albert Hall. During its original restoration, which was overseen by English Heritage, meticulous attention was paid to every detail of this fine building, from the reproductions of original floor tiles and intricate plaster mouldings, to the selection of period furnishings.
A further multi-million pound refurbishment was completed in 2010, creating elegant, classic and traditionally English interiors. Featuring the latest state-of-the-art lifestyle technology, every apartment is also installed with panic alarms and CCTV. Cheval Gloucester Park is a collection of contemporary-style one, two and three bedroom apartments, located in the heart of the prestigious borough of South Kensington. All of the apartments have large floor-to-ceiling windows with private balconies overlooking the properties’ own secluded garden, and the four-bedroom penthouse apartment features a unique cutting-edge design.
Since opening in 1992, Cheval Gloucester Park has built an excellent reputation for its discreet and efficient service. The apartments offer easy access to central London while creating an environment in which to relax away from the bustle of the city. Overlooking Kensington Gardens, Cheval Thorney Court’s classic English-style interiors, carefully selected artwork, china, and crystal glassware create a supremely sophisticated environment. The spacious apartments feature en-suite bathrooms in every bedroom, as well as separate guest cloakrooms, making them perfect for families. Many of the apartments have spectacular views of both the park and Kensington Palace, and the shops and restaurants of Kensington are only a minute’s walk away. Cheval Thorney Court provides the ultimate in comfort and convenience with its unrivalled levels of service and quality. Due to open in April 2013, Cheval Three Quays is the latest addition to Cheval Residences’ portfolio.
The ten-storey building, located adjacent to the Tower of London, will incorporate 158 serviced and non-serviced apartments. Cheval Three Quays’ prime location means that guests will be able to enjoy unrivalled views of The Thames, Tower Bridge, and City Hall. The site will feature luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments. The interior design will be spearheaded by Forme Design.
