Metro to Host Five Community Meetings on Transformational Transit Project

WHAT: L.A. Metro will host a series of virtual and in-person community meetings May 21, 27, 28, 29 and 31 to provide a project update on the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project. One of several projects approved by voters with the passage of Measure M, the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project will provide a high-quality, reliable transit service to directly connect the San Fernando Valley with the Westside of Los Angeles.

Upcoming community meetings will enable interested community members and stakeholders to learn about the latest project updates.

    Parking: Parking available in lot. Entrance is off Hartsook Street.    

WHY: The new project will offer an alternative to sitting in traffic on the I-405 Freeway, one of the most congested urban highways in the nation with more than 400,000 daily trips.

Metro is currently conducting an environmental review of alternatives for the project and will soon release its Draft Environmental Impact Report (Draft EIR) that analyzes five transit alternatives now under study, which will include the project’s potential effects on the natural and human environment.
