VAN NUYS, CA — The Museum of the San Fernando Valley is hosting a Historic Walking Tour of Van Nuys on Saturday, January 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join a guide for a stroll back in time through Van Nuys, the “Town That Was Started Right.” You will learn how a development entity known as “The Syndicate” began the process in 1910; how William Paul Whisett saw the plans for Van Nuys through to the end; and hear how Van Nuys was transformed from a barley field into a prosperous center of City Government and industry.

Highlights include the circa 1927- Old Van Nuys Library, the Municipal Building’s facade, Bob’s Big Boy and Van Nuys Bungalow.
