Historic NoHo “Walk It Off” Tour

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — You are invited to join a “Walk it Off” tour of historic North Hollywood on Saturday, November 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The tour is presented by the Museum of the San Fernando Valley and sponsored by the Universal City/North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Learn about real cowboys, pioneer families, movie television and recording stars, the Spanish conquest, Mexican ranchos, great steam trains, vast ranches and orchards, land barons, wars, architecture, and much more.

Tour highlights include the Amelia Earhart Statue, the circa-1924 Security Trust and Savings Bank, the Amelia Earhart Library (1928), the El Portal Theatre (1926), St. Paul’s First Lutheran Church, the NoHo Arts District, NoHo Fire Station #60, Lankershim Arts Center (1939), the Southern Pacific Railroad Depot (1896), the North Hollywood Masonic Temple Lodge 542, an air raid siren and Lankershim Elementary School, which Marilyn Monroe attended.
