AGOURA HILLS, CA — The Van Nuys News Press’ own Golf Editor Arthur “Jeff” Thomas scored his 10th “Almost Hole-In-One” at Lindero Country Club this past weekend.
“I was witness to the golf shot, and it had amazing ball flight. Thomas hit a 7-iron from around 145 yards into the wind to a slightly elevated green,” said Scott Thornburn.
“Everyone on the practice putting green thought it was going in, and it was a beautiful golf shot to watch. The gallery kept their eyes pealed as they all waited to watch it disappear into the hole. After it was clear it was just going to be a tap in birdie, the people proceeded to give Arthur “Jeff” Thomas a round of applause,” said Thornburn.
