Research has found that newborn’s eyes see contrasting color such as white, black and red the best.  Experts say it is therefore best for your infant’s visual stimulation to expose them to as much dark and light as possible.  You can try showing your baby black and white baby toys, mobiles and books, surrounding your baby with objects which have contrasting colors.  Research has also shown that newborn can only focus their eyes on objects between 8-12 inches away from them, so hold this newspaper page that close to your baby’s face and watch for a reaction!
