Kona Country Club provides the perfect environment for golf. Situated in scenic Keauhou just 6 miles (9.7 kilometers) away from downtown Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kona Country Club features spectacular ocean and mountain views, excellent facilities and friendly service. Beautiful Hualalai Mountain protects us from the strong winds. One can always expect pleasant sunny skies and gentle ocean breezes. We are open to the public. Kona Country Club is conveniently located near hotels and condos. We feature a fully stocked pro shop, driving range, locker rooms, putting and chipping greens. Experience dazzling sunsets while dining at the Vista Restaurant serving Hawaiian and American cuisine for breakfast and lunch. The Vista Restaurant is also available for banquets.

The Mountain Course designed by William Bell, Nelson and Robin Wright offers breathtaking Kona coastline views, trails of ancient lava flows and is enriched with Hawaiian culture and wild life. These two distinctive and innovatively designed Big Island golf courses can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced golfers. Built in 1966, this William Bell designed course maintains its charm by incorporating natural settings along the Pacific Ocean and gorgeous mountain views. Be ready to take a picture on our signature holes #3 and #12. Enjoy seeing the grand splash on hole #13 where you will see the blow hole known as “puka” in Hawaiian. Keep a lookout for Humpback whales during November through March.

Home of LPGA Takefuji Classic in 2000 and 2001, this 18 hole championship course offers wide, lush fairways, Bermuda grass greens and numerous sand bunkers. The only natural obstacles are the turquoise blue water and lava rocks. You’ll know why this course was chosen as one of the top 100 courses by Golf Digest. Golf for Women magazine, ESPN, and ZAGAT Guide recognizes this course as one of nation’s top golf facilities and it also has a rating of “excellent” as voted by players in America’s top golf courses. These two distinctive and innovatively designed Big Island golf courses can be enjoyed by both beginners and advanced golfers. With breathtaking panoramic views of the Kona coastline, the Mountain Course has its way of attracting beginners and advanced golfers alike. It features a cool mountain setting, manicured Bermuda greens, elevated tees, numerous bunkers and three lakes. Challenge yourself on the front nine as you experience elevation changes. After reaching the crescendo, all you see is a clear blue ocean, swaying palm trees and a panoramic view from Keauhou to Kona. Take a moment on our par 3, hole #5 and #14. Both holes feature exotic drops from tee to green. Hole 14 is the highest point of the course and is the most picturesque hole. There is a waterfall surrounded by red bougainvillea and black lava rock, scenic lake and miles of ocean as far as the eye can see. The Mountain Course is enriched in Hawaiian culture. This area was a favorite playground for Hawaiian royalties known as Alii. You’ll see Hawaiian wild goats moving throughout the back nine. Golf Digest Magazine rated the Mountain Course as 4 stars and ESPN, Zagat Guide recognized it as one of the top facilities in the nation. The front nine was designed by William Bell in 1985. The back nine was completed in 1991, designed by Rodney and Nelson Wright. Surrounded by this enchanting setting, your experience on the Mountain Course will linger in your memories.
