From Oakland to Napa Valley: Black Food & Wine Experience Becomes the Hottest Sold-Out Ticket in Wine Country June 18-21 2026 (Juneteenth Weekend)
The 9th Annual Black Food & Wine Experience (BFWE), founded by Chef Mimi, returns for a sold-out Napa Valley takeover welcoming more than 3,000 guests, acclaimed chefs, celebrated wineries, artists, tastemakers, and cultural leaders from across the country.
The festival officially sold out in February—months ahead of the June experience—making BFWE one of the hottest tickets in Napa Valley this year.
Rooted in Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, legacy, resilience, and honor, BFWE is helping redefine Napa Valley through culture, luxury, wellness, wine, food, fashion, music, and storytelling.
Chef Mimi is creating intentional partnerships with iconic Napa Valley wineries and hospitality spaces while opening doors for more inclusive, guest-forward experiences centered around joy, culture, and community.
BFWE is not a traditional wine festival. It is a modern cultural luxury experience designed to bring people together through elevated hospitality and shared connection.
This year’s events include:
• Vino & Vibe — Sterling Vineyards
An aerial gondola kickoff celebration featuring wine, music, and culinary experiences.
• A Seat at the Table: Juneteenth Dinner — Louis M. Martini Winery
An elevated vineyard dinner honoring heritage, storytelling, and Black culinary excellence.
• The Grand Tasting — Culinary Institute of America at Copia
A fashion-forward tasting experience featuring wineries, chef activations, music, education, and immersive cultural programming.
• Wellness in the Vineyards — The McClelland House
A restorative wellness experience hosted at Napa Valley’s only Black-owned boutique hotel.
• Legacy & Luxe Brunch
Featuring wines from Domaine Carneros, SirDavis Whiskey, Lobos 1707 Tequila, and a brunch social with Chef Mimi and artist Reyna Noriega.
• Juke Joint After Dark
An invitation-only late-night experience celebrating Black joy, music, spirits, and cultural legacy.
As Chef Mimi shares:
“This is not about fitting into Napa Valley. It’s about expanding what Napa Valley can be.”
