West Hills 5K

WEST HILLS, CA — The race will start on Saticoy Street across from Chaminade High School and run along wide open neighborhood roads then onto the main stretch on Valley Circle Drive that has gentle rolling hills and beautiful tree lined twist and turns. This is an out and back closed course has two full lanes of the road dedicated for runner only traffic.  To ensure a smooth and consistent run, this race has implemented wave starts.

What is a wave start and how does it work?
Wave starts are designed to reduce race start congestion and improve your race day running experience. In a wave start, runners start in groups at 2 minute intervals. This way you can run with others who are similar in speed. A wave start will allow you plenty of space along the course, at the aid stations and at the finish line, without affecting your chip time or the time you have to complete the race.

Please arrive no later than 6:00 a.m. for best parking and ample time to get set up. We will have thousands of people trying to get into the park at the same time so please come early. We will be present at 5:00 a.m. so feel free to come earlier than 6:00 a.m. if needed.  All running and triathlon clubs can secure a spot at the race day expo for a front row seat to all the action.  Bring your club canopy, banner, cow bells and team spirit.  (For more information, please visit www.westhillshalf.com)
