Van Nuys 5k

Amongst the wildlife and golf courses of the Sepulveda Basin, three long distances races were held in Van Nuys this past Sunday

VAN NUYS, CA — Elite Sports CA and media sponsor Van Nuys News Press were proud to participate in the 4th annual Harvest half marathon, 5k and 10k. These races were along an all flat two loop course that meanders through the heart of the San Fernando Valley. The location is the famous bike path in Lake Balboa, with the start and finish line being at Woodley park (6350 Woodley Ave., Van Nuys CA 91406).

Are you new to racing? This course is rated friendly for weekend warriors and speed walkers. It is a very walker friendly course, mostly flat, with plenty of aid stations, and loads of fun! There is a generous 4:00 hour time limit so you take your time and enjoy the scenery, all levels of fitness are welcome at our events.

If you are a middle of the pack runner, this is a great course for a new PR (personal record) this year. Its’s an all flat course, with plenty of room to make your move towards your nest PR.
Did we mention the free plate of street tacos too?
All runners received a free plate of street tacos at each race date and over $45 worth of custom swag at each race date too.
