LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean C. Logan announced the first post-Election Night ballot count update for the November 3, 2026 General Election.

The update includes 132,507 additional ballots processed and counted since Election Night, bringing the total to 2,279,750 ballots, representing 38.58% voter turnout.

Updated election results are available to view and download at RESULTS.LAVOTE.GOV.

NEXT RESULTS UPDATE AND OUTSTANDING BALLOT ESTIMATE

The next election results update is scheduled for Thursday, November 5, at 9 AM. Multiple results updates will continue throughout the week. The full schedule is available in the Canvass Update Schedule.

The RR/CC’s preliminary estimate of outstanding ballots remaining to be processed and counted is 842,000, with the following breakdown:

  • Vote by Mail ballots: 800,000
  • Conditional Voter Registration ballots: 37,000
  • Provisional ballots: 5,000

The estimated outstanding Vote by Mail ballots include ballots received from the United States Postal Service, as well as ballots returned at Official Ballot Drop Boxes and Vote Centers on Election Day.

These figures are preliminary and subject to change as we receive, scan, prepare, and process additional ballots. The estimate does not include additional eligible Vote by Mail ballots that may arrive after the estimate is prepared, including ballots postmarked by Election Day and received within the applicable statutory deadline, Tuesday, November 10 (E+7).

Outstanding ballot estimates are countywide and are not currently available by jurisdiction, as ballots are received and processed in batches from locations throughout Los Angeles County.

AROUND-THE-CLOCK BALLOT PROCESSING CONTINUES

The RR/CC continues 24-hour, around-the-clock ballot processing through Friday, November 6, with employees working day and night shifts to receive, verify, process, and count ballots.

Election results will continue to change throughout the official canvass as additional eligible ballots are processed and counted.

The RR/CC prioritizes timely processing, verification, and counting of outstanding ballots during the Official Election Canvass. The official canvass includes reviewing and verifying outstanding ballots, conducting required reconciliation and auditing procedures, and completing the steps necessary to certify the election.

Ballot processing operations remain open to media and public observation. Media representatives and observers should enter through the public entrance and check in with RR/CC staff, who will verify credentials as applicable and direct visitors to designated media and observation areas.
