LAPD Van Nuys Division

SHERMAN OAKS, CA — Robbery detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that will lead to the identification and arrest of an armed suspect that robbed a Sherman Oaks resident.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, around 8:00 a.m., officers responded to a radio call of a robbery in the 4800 block of Katherine Avenue. A suspect armed with a handgun, walked up to the victim in her driveway, pointed the handgun at her and took her property. The suspect then fled on foot, northbound on Katherine Avenue to eastbound Huston Street. He got into a white car and drove north on Stansbury Avenue toward Riverside Drive.
The suspect is described as a 40-year-old male Armenian with a light beard. He stands approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black running pants and black shoes. The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect’s getaway car is described as a white Toyota Camry, four-door with orange, yellow and white license plates (unknown state or province).
