WHAT: With FIFA World Cup 2026™ excitement sweeping across Los Angeles County, fans from around the world are coming together to celebrate the world’s biggest sporting event. Metro is the easiest and most convenient way to experience all the action happening throughout the region. Whether you’re heading to Metro station activations, fan zones, or other World Cup–related events, Metro helps you skip the traffic and parking hassles so you can spend more time enjoying the festivities.

Riding Metro costs just $1.75 and paying your fare is easier than ever with contactless payment options. Customers can conveniently tap their credit card, debit card, digital wallet, or smartwatch at fare gates to ride.
Customers can also use the official LA Metro app to plan trips, receive real-time service updates, and find the best routes to World Cup events and attractions across the region.

WHERE: Throughout LA County various fan zones, station activation and other events are taking place including some of these.

Free Fan Zones
Union Station Fan Zone (Downtown LA): Located at The Heart of the City, this multi-day event runs from June 25–28 and features live match viewings, DJ performances, and interactive activities. The event is free, but attendees need to register for tickets via Eventbrite.

Go Metro: Take the A, B, D or J Lines to LA Union Station, which is also served by many local bus lines, Metrolink regional rail and Amtrak inter-city rail. 

Metro Station Activations
Metro stations will come to life through community activity, creating spaces that feel safe, welcoming, and vibrant. All activations will host cultural programming, games, giveaways and prizes, human wayfinding, and festivities. Below is a list of just some of the station activations happening during World Cup:

  • June 26 Grand Avenue/Civic Center Station
  • June 27 Norwalk Station
  • June 28 Leimert Park Station
