Los Angeles, CA — The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) presents a multisensory installation by Academy Award–winning Mexican filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu. Rooted at the intersection of cinema and visual art, the exhibition, SUEÑO PERRO: A Film Installation by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, marks the 25th anniversary of the filmmaker’s legendary debut feature Amores perros (2000).

SUEÑO PERRO resurrects never-before-seen footage, which speaks to the film’s enduring themes of love, betrayal, and violence. These gritty vignettes—once abandoned on the cutting room floor, and buried for a quarter of a century in the film archives at the National Autonomous University of Mexico—capture the charged and interconnected sociopolitical realities of Mexico City, still relevant decades later.

The exhibition’s presentation at LACMA is curated by Deliasofia Zacarias, chief of staff and curatorial assistant, Director’s Office.
