Fish Camp, CA. – A rising star in the music industry will be performing live at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad.

Carmel Helene, a solo artist who is also known for her role as a backup singer for Miley Cyrus, will be performing at the picnic area at the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad on August 17 fresh off of a European tour.

The concert came about through YMSPRR owner Max Stauffer’s relationship with Helene’s father-in-law Mike Gaddis.

“He’s one of our vendors and a good friend, we’ve been working together for 20 years,” said Stauffer.

Gaddis is also a musician and will be taking the stage alongside his daughter-in-law.

“Carmel played a song with her husband a few years ago on one of the rail cars and we talked about doing a concert then. As her career has been growing it’s been harder to schedule, but she really wanted to come out here so we found a date to make it work.”

The concert will include the railroad’s famous steak dinner at 6, with the train departing the station at 7. The music will start about 7:30. Tickets cost $75 and include the meal and train ride.
