Meet the Owners and Learn the History of The Columbia In at Peralynna — David and Dr. Cynthia Lynn created The Columbia Inn, an oasis in bustling Howard County, an area in Maryland named “Best Place to Live” by Forbes magazine. Mr. Lynn is a graduate of Punaho in Hawaii, the University of Hawaii, and received graduate degrees at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Lynn, a retired professor in business, spent her formative years in Europe, and replicated the architecture of the childhood homes she was most fond of in her European homes into the design of The Inn. Their son, a former professional athlete, built the inn as their private home in 1996.
