Two-for-One Kart Races at Big Bear Speedway for First Responders and Military

Big Bear Lake, Calif. July 27, 2021 – Big Bear Speedway’s Badge Days honors all active firefighters, law enforcement, and U.S. military with two-for-one kart races Monday through Thursday. The Badge Days program, now in its 12th year, provides a $15 value per single-kart race or a $20 value for a double-kart race. Show official badge or military ID, and get a free race for every race purchased (limit one free race per badge/ID). Offer is good Monday through Thursday, now through September 2, 2021.

BigBearSpeedway1Big Bear Speedway’s open-air racetrack, located on the main lot at Big Bear Snow Play, is a Grand Prix style course that is a fifth-of-a-mile long with hairpin turns and s-curves. Big Bear Speedway’s fleet of SODI RT8 Karts, which look like miniature Formula 1 racecars, have innovative technology designed to handle the twists and turns with pinpoint precision. These karts are built for speed, which can reach speeds of up to 30 mph! Big Bear Speedway fleet of karts consists of both single and double karts. The double karts have two steering wheels and two brake pedals for training or parent riding with a child. Up to 11 cars are allowed on the track at one time. Drivers however, are not racing against each other; they’re competing against the clock! Participants get more than two miles of racing per heat with an average of 10 to 14 laps per heat.

Adjacent to the racetrack is Big Bear Ropes Course, a state-of-the-art aerial adventure that towers 35 feet off the ground! This two-story obstacle course is a great way to extend the fun after the racing ends. Participants face 37 different challenges, with many of its features exposed to nothing but air, including the Sky Rail Zipline that stretches 80 feet and bananas out onto a ledge.

Big Bear Speedway & Big Bear Ropes Course are located at 42825 Big Bear Blvd, and both open daily. Summer hours of operation for Big Bear Speedway are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Prices are $15 for a single kart race and $20 for a double kart race. A single kart driver must be at least 62” tall (minimum 14 years of age), or have a valid driver’s license. The primary driver of a double kart must be at least 18 years old, and the passenger must be a minimum of 40” tall. The Badge Days two-for-one kart race promotion is good Monday through Thursday, now through September 2, 2021. Big Bear Ropes Course summer hours are Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Big Bear Ropes Course is $12 per person.
