HOLLYWOOD, CA — Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) joined hundreds of community members, volunteers, staff, and local elected officials at the Hollywood Food Coalition’s Community Dinner Program for the Thanksgiving meal service. This specific meal service serves more than 300 members of the local community.

“Everyone deserves a warm meal and holiday cheer during this Thanksgiving season, and I’m grateful to have been able to play a small role in delivering on that promise,” said Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30). “In Congress, I’m working to make constituents’ lives better and more affordable in any way I can, and while I’m in my district, I will always find a way to lend a helping hand.”

Since 1987, the Hollywood Food Coalition has served hot meals to community members every night of the year. The organization also operates a food rescue and redistribution program. In addition to nightly meals, the organization provides mobile health clinics and resources such as personal hygiene items, clothing, as well as referrals and connections to housing services.

Friedman previously participated in Union Station Homeless Services’ Dinner in the Park event, where she packaged hot meals for members of the community and their families. She has been a steadfast advocate of investing in nutritional food resources and has frequently visited local food aid organizations like Project Angel Food.
