Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax, Wilshire/La Cienega Rise from Their Temporary Maintenance Slumber for Ghouls, Goblins on the Go

WHAT: Skip the ghastly traffic and parking nightmares this Halloween.Three Metro D Line stations—Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax, and Wilshire/La Cienega will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 4 a.m., giving costumed Angelenos, partygoers, and everyday riders a safe, sustainable, and entirely trick-free way to move across town. The reopening perfectly aligns with the Wilshire/Fairfax station activation LATINAfest at Metro: Dia de los Muertos offering riders a vibrant cultural celebration directly along their route.

The stations have been closed since Friday, Oct. 23, for necessary electrical infrastructure maintenance at Wilshire/La Brea. With the upgrades completed two days ahead of schedule, the tracks are cleared for a smoother, more reliable ride through the heart of LA.

Riding Metro costs just $1.75 and paying fare is easier than ever with contactless payment options. Customers can conveniently tap their credit card, debit card, digital wallet, or smartwatch at fare gates to ride.
