Sun Valley: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), Valley Traffic Detectives (VTD) are investigating a fatal traffic collision that caused a death of a man in his 30’s.

On May 28, 2026, around 4:20 a.m., a white, 2017, Freightliner, Cascadia truck was traveling northbound Bradley Avenue from Tuxford Street when it negotiated a left turn into private property. As the truck was negotiating the left turn, a motorcyclist attempted to pass along the left side of the truck and collided with the truck and the roadway. The truck continued negotiating the turn and went into a private business without stopping or rending aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist deceased. His name is being withheld pending identification and notification to next of kin.

Further investigation led to the identification of the driver and vehicle. The driver returned to the scene hours later and was subsequently taken into custody without incident.

The suspect was identified as 64-year-old, Edvard Gyulnazaryan a resident of Glendale.

The investigation revealed that Gyulnazayan was involved in the collision and left the scene without rendering aid or exchanging information. He was arrested and transported to Van Nuys Jail where he will be booked for 20001(a) VC – Felony Hit and Run Causing Death. His bail amount is pending magistrate review. He was given booking No. 7247882.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
