Sunset At Hollywood Beach Is The “Picture Of The Week”

OXNARD, CA — Clark Gable lived here. Rudolph Valentino filmed a movie here. Perhaps that’s why it’s called Hollywood Beach, a great spot for swimming, sunning and viewing the Channel Islands offshore. Free public beach volleyball courts, public restrooms, free on street parking, and lifeguards on duty between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Beach Wheelchairs available if you call ahead (805) 382-3007, and the beach is dog friendly, your buddies are allowed on leash before 9am and after 5pm. Must bring poop bags. Open flames are not allowed at County beaches; this includes portable fire pits and portable grills.

Ventura County Harbor Patrol is the responsible agency for managing Silver Strand Beach and Hollywood Beach in Oxnard; if you have questions about rules and regulations for these beaches, please contact Ventura County Harbor Patrol at (805) 973-5959 or visit https://www.ventura.org/harbor-department/.
