New Van Nuys Hindu Temple Invites You To Grand Opening

VAN NUYS, CA — Shree Swaminarayan Temple, a new Hindu Temple located at 14339 Hamlin St. in Van Nuys, invites the community to its grand opening on Saturday, July 21, at 3:00 p.m.

From July 19th through July 22nd, 2012, history will be made, as His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree will perform the Murti Pratishtha Mahotsav and Divine Idol Installation Ceremony of the firstever temple of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi on the West Coast of the United States.

The opening of this 25,000-square-foot assembly will be celebrated on a majestic scale with the auspicious yagna ceremony, a grand parade through the streets of Van Nuys, various cultural performances, and the showering of Acharya Swamishree’s divine blessings upon all. This will all culminate with the divine idol installation ceremony itself. The disciples invite all disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan to take part in this wonderful Mahotsav. The renovated 25,000-square foot facility on Hamlin Street (pictured above) can accommodate 500 people in a spacious, 5,000 square foot worship area with additional balcony seating, as well as two levels of modern living accommodation for saints and disciples. The facility will be used for worship and as an auditorium for cultural and social activities and celebration.
