Gift Giving Program to Benefit Children in Foster Care

BURBANK, CA — Counseling4Kids, a nonprofit organization, is brightening the holidays for over 500 children currently in foster care through their Gifts4Kids program. The holiday program provides gifts for children currently in foster care who are receiving services from Counseling4Kids. “Oftentimes children in foster care receive very little during the holidays. Foster parents often have several children in their home at one time, and it can be very challenging for them to purchase gifts for all of them given limited foster care stipends. Providing a gift is one way we can help a child in foster care feel loved at a very difficult time of year,” states Dr. Marianne Callahan, Clinical Director at Counseling4Kids.”

Counseling4Kids and volunteers throughout the community join together in this cause by reaching out to businesses and organizations requesting donations for new, unwrapped toys. The drive will continue throughout the month of November and will conclude with a Wrap Party where volunteers will come together and wrap the collected gifts. Individuals and companies interested in participating in Gifts4Kids can get involved by donating gifts or by making a monetary donation for the Gifts4Kids program. You can drop off new and unwrapped gifts at the Counseling4Kids offices located at 601 S. Glenoaks Blvd. Suite 200, Burbank CA 91502.
